It has been a rough rough road we’ve traveled these last few months. I apologize for not keeping up with my original intent to post something every day. Funny how little things like this get thrown by the wayside when you have a major crisis. I won’t go into details here, most of my family and friends know what we’ve been going through lately and I am just so grateful for their love and support through it all.
Now, onto fun stuff.
A bit late, but here’s Halloween.

Gabby and Ben do not approve of scheduling conflicts. (aka work)
They were having a peaceful evening of playing together. A rare enough occurence. Made even more enjoyable because they’d spent the better part of the day in typical sibling rivalry.
Today we let our Goof shine. 🙂

Ten days in and only really missed one so far, not bad Metz, not bad.
Tonight was a moody night for everyone.
Heh, I was more than 1/2 way through the day before I realized that today is 8/9/10.

Gabby: “Hey Ben, do you like my new outfit?”
Ben: “I don’t like it.”
Gabby: “What? Why not?”
Ben: “Because it makes you look like an adult.”
Gabby: “Well get used to it, because I’m growing up!”

I couldn’t let this go without at least a few pictures. So, I mined my flickr account for some oldies but goodies. Guess this is a good way to see how much they’ve grown/changed.

This is one of my most favorite photos. Grammy took this while she and Gabby were on a cruise when Gabby was 3 years old.
That reminds me, I never did find out who picked out the orange frosting and properly thanked them. 😉
Sheesh, didn’t even make it a week and I have to skip a day. Just got home a bit ago from Gabby’s talent show and celebratory dinner out, and the kids are wiped. So am I. Heading to bed. Family…friends…if you have my email or FB please send me a message with your email if you haven’t received an email from me with the audio file of Gabby singing. I sent it to everyone on my family/friends contact list, but if I missed you it’s just that I don’t have your email. 🙂
Well i thought there would be no daily pictures of Gabby today. I was going to take them after her shower, but just before her shower she got a bit of an owwie. She was holding Bella who tried to attack her bangs but missed; nailing Gabby’s eyelid instead. She’s ok, just a nasty little nick. We did some cold compresses and ice and she’s feeling a bit better. I thought she wouldn’t be up to having her picture taken but she surprised me by agreeing, even laughing that we should post it saying “Gabby survived the Great Kitten Slashing of 2010!”. So there you have it folks. Gabby survived the Great Kitten Slashing of 2010!

It doesn’t look like much, but it must’ve hurt like all heck. She did so well though.
I am SO proud of her.
While I was dealing with Gabby’s injury, Rob stepped up to the plate and took some pictures of Ben. 🙂
These swords are never far from his hand.
Guess our home is well protected should we ever be invaded by Orcs or a Goblin Horde. 🙂
